Booking &
Scheduling

How much advance notice is needed to book a Content Club session?

While we aim to be as flexible as possible, we require at least 48 hours notice. However, if you need a last-minute session, feel free to get in touch, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Please note that availability depends on our team’s schedule, but we’ll always strive to make it work whenever we can!

Will I have the same Content Club creator sent out every time?

Due to the flexible nature of our business model, we can’t guarantee the same Content Club Creator for each visit. However, all our creators are trained the same, use the same professional gear, and follow standardized guidelines to ensure that the quality of your content is always top-notch. Rest assured, no matter who is assigned to your session, you can expect great results every time!

Can you accommodate early morning or late evening shoots?

Standard shoot availability is 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, and you can book any open slot in that window yourself from the portal with the usual 48 hours’ notice. Need something earlier, later, or on a weekend? Message your Account Manager — we’re happy to look at it, but we ask for at least a week’s notice so we can get someone there available, alert, and ready to work.

Is there a time limit on each shoot?

Our standard shoots are capped at 4 hours for a single Club Creator to ensure the highest quality and focus. With our streamlined approach, 4-hour shoots can typically capture everything you need efficiently without overextending our Creators.

For needs longer than 4 hours, we recommend booking two Club Creators who can tag-team to maintain creative energy throughout the day.

Planning something bigger? Message your Account Manager. Longer days are by request and handled case by case — we'll look at what you're shooting and what our schedule allows, and work out the details with you.

What if I need more time on a shoot?

Most of the time, we will need to stick to the planned schedule for your booking, as there will be other things scheduled after your shoot. However, you can always ask! If we don’t have anything scheduled right after your shoot, we might be able to stick around. Any extra time rounds up to the next half-hour and comes out of your hours bank, and you’ll see it in your portal.

Can I schedule a shoot at multiple locations?

Our creators are flexible and can capture content at multiple locations within your booked time, as long as it’s reasonable. The time it takes to move between locations will count toward your shoot hours, so if it takes 30 minutes to move to a new spot, that time will be subtracted from your remaining hours.

Can I change a shoot after I’ve booked it?

Yes! Open the shoot from your portal dashboard (“View / edit”) and update it yourself. Date, time, or length changes need at least 48 hours’ notice before your shoot — you’ll pick a new slot from our real-time availability, just like booking. Everything else — location, parking info, on-site contact, shot ideas, services, and notes — can be changed up to 12 hours before the shoot. Every change goes back to our team for a quick re-confirmation, so nothing is locked in until you get the confirmation email.

Inside those windows? Email team@oncallcontent.club and we’ll sort it out personally.

Can I book a two-camera shoot?

Because of our price point, each OnCall hour comes with one Creator and one camera kit. We can absolutely accommodate multi-camera shoots — it simply requires an additional hour per camera/person. So a two-camera shoot of a one-hour event uses two OnCall hours and comes with two camerapersons and two full camera setups.

Just pick “2 Creators” in the booking form (or add the second Creator from your shoot’s edit page, up to 48 hours before the shoot). Need more than two? Talk to your Account Manager and they’ll make sure everything is scheduled properly.

Can I purchase additional hours if I find that I need more than originally planned?

Absolutely! You can buy more hours any time from your portal. And because your rate is set by how many hours you buy at once, a bigger purchase can cost less overall — buying 12, 24, or 48 hours moves you into the 3-, 6-, or 12-Month Club automatically, at a lower per-hour rate and with longer to use them. Additional hours will have new expiration dates based on when they are purchased and which membership type is selected.

Already an active Content Club member? You get two extra options: top up your current Club — any number of hours, no minimum, at your Club’s member rate, expiring together with your Club so everything stays on one clock — or upgrade the whole membership to a higher tier (see “Can I upgrade my Club membership partway through?” under Policies & Service Details).

How do edits work? Do I need to send you my files or logos? What about revisions?

If your edit is from an OnCall shoot, we already have access to all the footage. For anything else, you can easily upload graphics, logos, music, images, and other assets directly through your portal.

To ensure the best results, please include as many details as possible in your edit request so our creators know exactly what you’re looking for. Your Account Manager will stay in touch throughout the process to answer questions and handle any revisions as needed.

Deliverables
& Usage

How are the content files delivered after a shoot, and how soon can I expect them?

Content files are delivered digitally through our online client portal, where you can easily view and download them individually or as an entire folder. Content Club members (3-, 6-, and 12-Month) are guaranteed delivery within 24 business hours of your shoot — one of the perks of membership. For Ad-Hoc clients, delivery is guaranteed within 48 business hours, though we aim to beat that whenever we can. (Why “business” hours? Our creators are wonderful humans who are generally not in the office on weekends — so a Friday shoot lands Monday, not Sunday at sunrise.) For post-production work or specific deadlines, please communicate with your Account Manager to ensure we meet your needs.

Do you film and deliver in HD or 4K?

By default, all raw footage and video edits from OnCall are delivered in 1080p HD. This helps keep file sizes manageable—especially for clients who aren’t professional video editors and don’t want to deal with massive 4K files. In our experience, 1080p is more than sufficient for web, social media, and mobile use.

That said, if your project has specific 4K needs, we’re happy to discuss it! Just coordinate with your account manager before your shoot. Unless explicitly agreed upon, all footage and edits will be delivered in 1080p.

Can I use the content/assets for anything, or are they only for social media and website use?

You have full rights to use the content and assets we provide for any purpose—whether it’s for social media, your website, billboards, broadcast commercials, or print. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary rights and permissions for any third-party content, including people, properties, and copyrighted materials. This includes securing proper releases and licenses where required.

If you request stock media from OnCall Content or Overneath, we will source it exclusively from libraries that allow universal use. However, we are not liable for the publication of any edited content—liability rests solely with the content publisher.

In what aspect ratio do you deliver the content? Is it widescreen, vertical, or something else? Can you provide square (1:1) or 4:5 content?

Unedited videos are delivered in widescreen (16:9). Vertical (9:16) is available at no additional charge — just mention it in your shoot notes or tell your Account Manager. If post-production is requested, we can edit the footage into additional formats, such as square (1:1) or 4:5, which will require editing hours.

Do you offer post-production services like editing or graphics?

Yes! Our content creators can handle simple edits, captioning, and even basic motion graphics. These services are ideal for straightforward social media cuts like highlight reels or quick photo edits. Keep in mind that post-production work can be time-consuming and may quickly use up your hours. For more complex services and larger campaigns that require storytelling, custom animation, complex compositing, 3D rendering, color grading, or other creative services, we recommend working with our sister company, Overneath, to bring your full vision to life.

Can you post the content for me as part of my hours? Or can you submit the content as ads to platforms like Google and Meta?

While we’d love to help with everything, OnCall Content is all about capturing and delivering high-quality visuals for you to use. We don’t handle content strategy, ad buys, or social media management, but we can definitely recommend some trusted partners who specialize in that!

Policies &
Service Details

Do my hours expire? What happens if I don’t use them right away?

There’s no monthly quota to use up — your hours are a bank you draw from whenever you need them. Each purchase simply comes with a window to use it in: Ad-Hoc hours cover shoots within 60 days, and the Clubs give you 3, 6, or 12 months from the date you buy. Buy more hours at once and you get both a better rate and a longer window. Anything still unused when that window closes does expire, which is what lets us keep rates this far below full production pricing and stay genuinely “on call” for everyone.

To keep things fair and ensure availability for all clients, bookings are also capped at 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week, and 40 hours per month. If you have a special request or need more flexibility, just let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate!

If I use up my hours early, am I still a Content Club member?

Yes! Your Content Club membership lasts for its full time window — 3, 6, or 12 months from purchase — regardless of how quickly you use your hours. Until your window closes, you keep your member rate for top-ups and your member status in the portal. (If you hold more than one active Club, the highest tier is the one that counts.)

Can I upgrade my Club membership partway through?

Yes! If you’re partway through a Club membership and want more hours and more time, you can upgrade to a higher tier — and every club hour you’ve already bought counts toward the higher tier’s minimum, so you only purchase the difference, at the higher tier’s better rate. When you upgrade, your whole membership becomes the higher tier from its original start date: every club hour you hold, unused ones included, extends to the new longer window — as if you’d joined that Club on day one. For example: you buy 12 hours on the 3-Month Club on January 1, then upgrade on March 1 with 12 more hours at the 6-Month rate — everything you hold now runs through July 1.

A few ground rules: upgrades are only available while your membership window is open, and the upgrade invoice must be paid in full before it closes; new hours are billed at the new tier’s rate, with no retroactive rate adjustment on hours you already bought; and Ad-Hoc hours aren’t part of a Club, so they keep their own 60-day window. Prefer a clean slate instead? You can always start a brand-new Club membership with a fresh start date.

When do we pay? Before or after a shoot? What about an edit? What happens if I go over?

OnCall Content operates on a credit bank system—you purchase hours in advance through your portal, and those hours act as your credits for shoots and edits.

For Edits, you can set a maximum hours allotment when you make the request. If you set one, we won’t exceed it without checking with you first; if you leave it open, your Account Manager will confirm the scope with you before we start. Hours are logged as accrued, so your portal will reflect actual time used as the Edit progresses. If actual hours would approach your maximum, your Account Manager will notify you before continuing.

If your Account Balance goes negative for any reason, downloading of deliverables from your portal will be automatically disabled until the balance is resolved. You can still view and stream content in your portal in the meantime. Additionally, OnCall Content reserves the right to decline new service requests while a negative balance remains outstanding.

Do you simply show up with a mobile phone to capture clips and stills that we could easily do ourselves?

Not even close. Every Club Creator arrives with the same professional kit: a Canon R5C cinema camera, a 24-70mm lens, a DJI gimbal, a monopod, an LED panel light with a stand, two wireless lav microphones, and a wireless monitor so you can watch what we’re getting in real time.

What we skip is the crew — no director, no on-set producer, no grip and electric team. That’s the trade that keeps this affordable. The gear and the eye behind it are the real thing.

Can I use OnCall Content to shoot a commercial or a more complex video?

For fully produced, high-end commercials, we recommend working with our sister company, Overneath. However, you can absolutely use the footage from OnCall Content for a commercial! Just keep in mind that these shoots don’t include a director or producer, and we focus on quick, efficient content capture without high-end lighting setups. If you have an internal marketing team or director who can guide the shoot and turn our B-roll clips into a polished commercial, go for it! We’re here to help you capture the shots you need.

Can you capture drone footage at my business? Is there an extra cost for that?

There is no extra cost for drone footage—drones come standard with our kit! We are happy to fly the drone and capture both footage and photos at your business, provided your location is not within a no-fly zone. Our pilots are licensed and can legally register flights for commercial use. Keep in mind that some flights in regulated airspace may require additional time to properly register or “unlock” for drone use, so providing extra lead time is always a good idea.

Who decides what we’re filming? Who directs the shoot?

You do! Our Club Creators are highly skilled at capturing quality content, but it’s up to you or someone on your team to guide them on what to capture. Whether you provide a detailed shot list or just a general outline of your needs, clear direction ensures we deliver exactly what you’re looking for.

At this affordable rate, our Creators focus on capturing the moments and scenes you provide—they’re not responsible for wrangling employees, setting up scenes, or providing creative direction like a Director or Producer would on a full-scale production. Instead, they bring efficiency and expertise to bring your vision to life in the most cost-effective way.

How is billing calculated for shoots?

We round in half-hour increments, with a minimum booking of one hour. Billing starts when our Club Creator arrives on location (“arrival time”) and ends when they leave (“tail lights”). For clients within Kalamazoo County, there’s no additional travel fee. For bookings outside Kalamazoo County, travel is billed at $1.50 per mile, per person, roundtrip — measured from our headquarters to your location and back — to cover mileage and labor. That comfortably covers our Southwest Michigan neighbors — Allegan, Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties — and if you’re a bit beyond (hello, Grand Rapids), ask anyway. We can usually make it work.

Your booked start is when we pull into the parking lot — then we carry in and set up, so allow 10–15 minutes before the camera rolls (longer if it’s a hike from parking). When you book you can either let us start filming as soon as we’re ready, or name a “ready-to-film by” time. Similarly, our Creators stop filming about 10 minutes before the session end time to pack up and walk back to their vehicle. This ensures they are driving away (“tail lights”) at the scheduled end time.

Our streamlined process minimizes downtime, but these buffers ensure smooth scheduling and seamless transitions between shoots.

Can I have more than one person filming at my session?

Yes, you can! Having a second person can provide more coverage, especially if you’re limited on time during a special event or a particularly active time window. A second person is also great for additional help with tasks like audio monitoring, safety, or handling simple lighting. If you need more than two people, it may be best to work with our sister company, Overneath, for more complex productions. Remember, everything is still billed per person, per hour, at the rate of the club you booked.

You can pick “2 Creators” right in the booking form — the shoot simply uses double hours. For anything bigger, talk to your Account Manager and they will take care of making sure everything is scheduled properly.

What makes OnCall Content different?

OnCall Content is all about flexibility and efficiency. We’re the sweet spot between full-scale production and DIY content, giving businesses ready-to-use video and photo assets delivered fast at a fraction of the cost. With OnCall Content, you get the best of both worlds—quality content without the hefty price tag or hassle of full-scale production.
